The olé A Wet Pet in apple valley is closing. Its the family business for the last 27+ and hard to watch it go as the old man is retiring and I'm so far into ACCTS ant construction. K-bid has come in and taken pics will inform with dates and times hopefully for the auction. Thanks for listening. The Ipsen clan.

I'm gonna miss that place. Spent a lot of time sweating my ass off in there browsing the gourmet selection of super sweet fish. I used to have 5 aquariums going and bought several from you and your old man. That place was an iconic part of Apple Valley and it just wont seem the same rolling past and not seeing the infamous A Wet Pet sign.

Kinda scary being a country boy in the concrete jungle. But not too much different than downtown Rochester I bet...

Thanks Doc - trumped by the spadeface again, but helped a friend land their first carp - 30 inch-ish nice fish. I got a drum - better than skunks!

Fishing in the metro area....quite the experience. Sky scrapers and bottom rigged crawlers. And tug boat carp!

...I don't have much free time or opportunity to fish, and I'm still learning, so thanks for understanding and for any angling advice

Thanks, Aaron, wasn't planning on avoiding the warm weather - I like it. I was wondering if/how hot humid weather affects the bite?

Always a better chance when you go. Can't catch them while in the air conditioning.

Hot steamy weather = hot or cold bite? Finally got a little time set aside for a try at a spadeface this weekend but wondering if the tropical heat will quash the bite?

Could be an interesting June contest this year with all this rain and high water...

I was in Taylors falls today and I would not even try to fish it. It is killer level there.
